Product description

A set of Intumescent pads to be used with the Shield sash mortice locks.

Intumescent pads when used in conjunction with locks and hinges provides extra protection against the spread of fire and upholds the integrity of the door.

The pads are 0.8mm thick and contains intercalated graphite which is an intumescent material which means it expands under heat.

The intumescent pads are sticky on one side so are to be stuck in position under the ironmongery.

In the event of fire the pads will react to the heat and expand, producing a tight seal for a period of time, through which smoke and heat cannot escape.

This product has been recognised and approved for use with fire doors by Certifire and CE marked.

Please note: For use with FD60 doors, BS476 Part 22:1987, BS EN 1634-1 : 2008.
